Its that time of year again when the meetings, incentive, conference and events industry gather together in Barcelona for IBTM World. If you are attending, drop by the TCC Network stand and speak to Bill - he'll be there in his kilt ready to update you about all our news from Hello Scotland.
We've been working on some new programmes and concepts and would like to share a couple with you here. For more information on the details below and general Hello Scotland news you'll need to book an appointment with "The Big Man" himself !
1) Disconnect to reconnect
Unplug yourself from the modern world and enjoy a social media detox during your next incentive experience in Scotland. Connect with nature and people whilst disconnecting from modern day devices.
Our aim with this programme is to connect people with local and natural produce while also learning bush craft and survival skills. Typical survival activities would include chopping/splitting wood, collecting wood and tinder, making feather sticks, making fire and pot stands, setting up hammocks and creating woodland shelters. Tasks also include roasting and grinding coffee beans and making bannock bread on sticks. And remember, no mobile devices in site!
In terms of hunting, guests will learn the techniques involved in catching and cooking their own fish and have the possibility to hunt pheasants, rabbits and pigeons with falcons.
This programme concept is best suited to smaller sized groups with a focus on connecting or reconnecting as a team, testing leadership qualities and for relaxation and mindfulness purposes as an escape from our normal highly digitised societies.
2) Keys to the Castle - a luxury Scottish escape
This castle escape begins in Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh. On arrival our couples will transfer directly into the city centre for a culinary tour sampling some of our favourite foods and sweet treats. Following the tour, a short transfer will bring the group to their 'castle in the city', Prestonfield House. Check in with some time to relax before transferring by traditional black taxi to a whisky paired dinner in the exclusive members only Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
Following a relaxing evening, the guests will be met by traditional classic cars ready to chauffeur the guests in style to Winton Castle for a morning of off road driving and clay pigeon shooting. On arrival at Winton, each guest will receive Hunter wellington boots and Barbour jackets to ensure they are kept warm and dry in style! A picnic lunch will follow with the set up including tradtional hampers, rustic hay bales and tartan rugs. Return transfer to Prestonfield with time to relax and prepare for dinner at Michelin Star restaurant 21212.
Take to the skies and fly by helicopter from Edinburgh to Ackergill Tower, near Wick in the Highlands. On route the guests will be challenged to a Scottish Castle Hunt from the skies.
On arrival, champagne will be served and the resident falconer will greet the group welcoming them to Ackergill Tower. A short display will then take place in the grounds of the castle which is only 3 meters away from the sea. Following this, all guests will be shown to their five star luxury bedrooms.
A private dinner will be served in the Old Smoking Room with traditional musicians entertaining the guests over the course of the evening. After dinner the group will be invited outside to huddle around a bonfire enjoying hot chocolate and toasting marshmallows. A pipe band will surprise the guests with a traditional Scottish farewell as they Beat The Retreat.
The following morning, ladies will enjoy some pampering sessions at the castle while the men try their luck at fishing on one of the nearby rivers. A farewell lunch will be served in the castle before the group are transferred to Inverness Airport for return flights home.
This luxury incentive would be best suited to couples in smaller groups. Please get in touch for more details.
