Hello Scotland loves ‘new’ things to offer our clients, but we also love it when something great gets even better. Today’s image is of Marlin’s Wynd in Edinburgh, which offers incentive guests a peek of what’s under the streets of the city.
Between its reception room and vaulted cellars, Marlin's Wynd spans centuries of Scottish history. Entered from Blair Street, the reception area is part of a typical Edinburgh Georgian tenement built in 1787, while the cellars below - part of the original Marlin's Wynd - were constructed in the 1540s. Arched doorways open onto a wide stone staircase, leading down through the centuries into the stunningly renovated stone vaults of Marlin's Wynd.
Marlin’s Wynd was always a favourite of ours for small intimate dinners, but now it’s available for dinners for up to sixty incentive guests. Following the knocking down a wall between two vaults means that larger groups can benefit from the wonderful experience at Marlin’s Wynd.
The image is brought to us by Duke Studios, thank you!
