Bill Addresses The Haggis.
Over the last few weeks I have been in the throes of organising a familiarisation trip for potential clients to visit Scotland from North America. The incentive market has changed dramatically over the last few years and the challenge is how to impress discerning clients who have been fortunate enough to have experienced impressive destinations. Scotland is impressive, but how does one condense the essence of a country in three or four days? The team and I at Hello Scotland pride ourselves in being creative and offering authentic experiences in the hope that incentive guests leave Scotland with cherished memories. We call it ‘Experiential Innovation’ and we try and thread it through everything we do.
Then I received a letter from a client in Europe who we worked with on a familiarisation trip to Scotland and it included these kind words:
‘It was a huge challenge…how to surprise the personnel of an incentive agency who have seen almost everything with regards to destinations and activities? Further, we liked the incentive to be more that ‘just fun’. The idea was that we would go home with new ideas and experiences. And the conceptual message was that our company sells to its customers, ‘activating and connecting people, brand and organisation’, should also be lived up to at our own incentive event.
I knew I could rely on you Bill after we spoke on the phone to discuss ideas and concept. But the way you have outclassed our expectations is inspiring. The hospitality and passion of your local partners, the commitment from the Hello Scotland team, and last but not least, your personal contribution. You really have created an extraordinary motivational experience that definitely will lead to business results!’
There is little I can add to this sentiment, except to say that it’s rewarding to know that what we do is ‘hitting the spot’. I am sure our North American delegation will also love Scotland and take a piece of it home in their hearts. For advice on your next incentive to Scotland email us now on email@example.com
