As Scotland celebrates it's talented chefs and restaurants, lets take a quick look at choosing Scottish restaurants for incentive and corporate groups....
Scotland is so jam-packed with culture, heritage and beautiful scenery that sometimes it’s easy to forget that its got one of the most amazing natural larders in the world – and an increasingly talented band of chefs and restaurants who turn local ingredients into delicious dining experiences…
So how do you choose great restaurants and dining experiences for corporate incentive groups?
Well your DMC should be able to give you advice on choosing restaurants suitable for your group, but it’s always good to have an idea of:
a) The type of cuisine you’d like have, e.g. Scottish, Seafood, Indian, Italian, Contemporary etc
b) The type of environment you’d like the group to experience, e.g. fine dining, ‘pub grub’, traditional, urban or rural
c) Your budget! As we all know this can be the ultimate decision maker!
d) Last and probably the most important point - There are many many restaurants across Scotland who produce good food, with good service at reasonable prices, but it's important to make sure your DMC is confident that their suggested restaurants are able to cope with larger groups.
Last week saw the cream of Scottish Restaurants get recognised for their contribution to the industry at the ‘Scottish Restaurant Awards’ - a tribute to the continual improvement of exquisite cuisine offered in Scotland.
Here at Hello we’ve all got our favourites restaurants so we were keen to see what the results were – it was a tough competition with lots of great restaurants nominated!
We’d love to congratulate winners like chef Neil Forbes, Martin Wishart’s Restaurant in Edinburgh, Stravaigin Glasgow and Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery Glasgow!
