World Responsible Tourism Day on Scotland's Canals

Hello Scotland are joined by a team of industry partners on the Union Canal to help raise awareness for World Responsible Tourism Day 2011.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us on the 9th November for WTM World Responsible Tourism Day

Ronnie Bamberry (Kingsfield Events); Kerry McCabe & Bede McCabe (Winton House); Bryan Hogg (STGA Guide); Krystle Ste-Marie (Glasgow Marriott Hotel); and Louise Rattray (The Old Course Hotel) for your volunteering efforts!

The Hello Scotland contingent joined a larger group of volunteers to clear bracken and foliage from the sides of the canal banks and the tow paths to keep the canal usable for everyone from walkers and cyclists to rowers and barge enthusiasts.

It was a great day and another big thank you to British Waterways Scotland, and the Linlithgow Union Canal Society for a tasty lunch (with amazing cake!).
