Thank you for your excellent co-ordination with your team and superb execution of all our requests, from the difficult ones to some that seemed downright ridiculous. You took it all in stride and never broke a sweat! We want to take this opportunity to express our utmost appreciation for all the efforts that you have put in to make our event in Edinburgh an astounding success.

Green Credentials

As the UK’s first Carbon Neutral DMC, we take our responsibility to the environment very seriously, and we are continually aware of the need to be responsible for educating our guests, improving our own practices and promoting Scotland as a top sustainable tourism destination.

We are fully aware that climate change is becoming a greater threat to Scotland’s wildlife and increasing the likelihood of erratic weather, both of which could ultimately become a threat to our product and Scotland as a tourism destination.

The means by which our groups travel, the waste produced as a result of them being here, the way in which our suppliers operate and, most importantly, the way in which we operate as a company, are becoming imperative in making Hello Scotland an environmentally aware DMC in a somewhat controversial corporate environment.

As the centerpiece of the incentive travel supply chain, we’ve identified our situation as a key position to influence and raise awareness to our suppliers and customers about the importance of operating in a sustainable way.

There are 3 key areas where we work towards creating a ‘sustainable’ package for our clients.

1. Improving our own operations through a Green Business Plan
& seeking greater improvement through initiatives such as achieving a Green Tourism Award
2. Launching the ‘Going Green with Hello’ to help our suppliers along the green path

3. Offering clients sustainable and low carbon / carbon offsetting program opt

Hello Scotland’s Green Business Plan

In our efforts to marry Hello Scotland with the country’s aspiration to become one of the most sustainable destinations in the world, we have created a rigid Green Business Plan founded on setting and achieving progressive individual objectives. This not only helps the company measure its achievements, but also set goals for the future.

The key objectives are “How to”:

• Reduce commuting

• Reduce electricity use

• Reduce paper use

• Reduce stationery

• Buy Green
• Sell Green
• Educate our stakeholders on Green issues

• Promote sustainability
